In my honest opinion, it touches on Garfield's desire for isolation, silencing Jon with the bottle allows him to imagine, for a short period of time, a world where only he exists, making him happy, yet he also knows this moment will not last long, making sure to take all of it in.

Good thread. I think that the expression in Jon's eyes in the last frame also indicate that the bottle is a vehicle for his own insight into the sound of silence, the constant static that he needs to distract himself from the mundanity of his vet-oneitis wageslave life and the void that he sprints from by using detailed, esoteric pop culture and substituted and largely imaginary relationships with his pets.
I think there's a lot to unpack in this cover, so I'l submit it though it's slightly OT.

I had feelings for her too, he didn't want me to make me feel like shit about it, he didn't really care at the time, because he had trust issues with her, but after he told her to never talk to us again. she said something made second thought his trust for her. I feel like shit because it was 1 sided between me and her. i don't know why he did it for me. I feel like shit, i just wanna fix this somehow

The thing is, she's a major whore, i didn't even know about it until my friend told me. My friend doesn't care though. She's a really awesome person thought besides that. I'll try to talk to her about it, but i think the damage is already done.
