But I am loaded anon. The honeymoon phase has come and gone, but I still love Japan. It's not boring for me compared to home. Sure, there are days when I feel down but I have it in the back of my mind that things are always better here than my home country.

I have a comfy apartment, couple of really close friends to explore Japan with and all the creature comforts I could ever want.

Japan isn't exciting if you aren't willing to break some rules. It's a very "assembly-line" like life there if you just do as you're told.

I have never seen that in the 2-3 years I've been here. There are separate train cars for women, but not for foreigners.

If you ask for help or directions on the street (even if you ask in japanese) some people will refuse to help and just walk faster, but this doesn't happen all the time. Usually people can be helpful. I've noticed people in Tokyo are a bit more rude but other places they're friendlier
