>United States Space Corps is about to be an actual thing
>most modern cities look like fucking Neo-Tokyo
>class divide is widening and jobs are being automated en masse
>extreme sexual depravity is totally publically acceptable and drugs are the norm
>companies and governments can watch every move you make through massive interconnected social mediums
>VR has become widespread and normal
>cars are becoming self-driving
>drones are everywhere, even delivering shit
>military tech is getting absurd
I swear to god, it feels like the most advanced tech I had seen was my GameCube only a week or two ago. Where did the time go? What fucking year is it? When did shit get so cyberpunk?
I hope you're not implying anything you listed isn't pure awesome
>>38171497
We have been in the early cyberpunk area for years now, this is not new.
>>38171497
What are you talking about? Western cities are shit and are full of violent non-whites, gangs guns, murders and drugs. And the infrastructure is shit. Tokyo is nothing like any western city. It is actually safe, clean, no drugs, no violence, there is yakuza but they help their local people like in the tsunami they help delivered goods.
It's not pure awesome because we're gonna be in the subhuman class.
>>United States Space Corps is about to be an actual thing
holy shit that's so fucking gay. now it's gonna take longer for us to get permanent colonies because we're gonna be putting more money into orbital nukes or some bullshit
>>38171529
weeb detected. muh yakuza isnt like their nigger counterparts bcuz they help peoples once !!!!! with KATANS!! BIG NARUTO FAN!!!
>>38171529
>There are literally no drugs or violence in Tokyo
Top kek
>>38171529
>there is yakuza but they help their local people like in the tsunami they help delivered goods.
that and the whole drug and sex trafficking thing
you fucking shithead
>>38171573
You're retarded, Yakuza's are considered a syndicate and not your run of the mil nigger gang that get's wiped out every few years and a new one pops up and place their place like in new york.
>>38171529
>there is yakuza but they help their local people like in the tsunami they help delivered goods.
it's just PR you smoothbrain weeb, the fucking mob helped clean up after hurricane sandy. that means nothing
>>38171529
The cities still look pretty cyber though.
>>38171559
Might get space/interplanetary military bases, but you'll only be able to go there if you're military I'm sure.
>>38171573
As far as I know, yakuza tactics are more insidious. Have female family members, and owe money? Well now it's your fault they've been blackmailed into porn or some shit to make money and protect you from being killed. A legal way of making money off of your female family members or significant others, while fucking with you mentally. And remember, they have ties to businesses and corporations, meaning they have financial protection, as well as ties with the corrupt japanese legal system. That's why the Japanese are scared of yakuza, because they can and will fuck with your life and the people involved with your life, in a fucked up way.
>2020 is less than 2.5 years away

Confirmed for never been to Japan shitskins
they dont lock their bikes up becuz there is barely any shitskins to steal them.
>>38171596
Yes you degenerate drug addict. Drugs are almost non-existent in Japan. Society knows better which is why their country does better than America and western countries in general. And the crime rate for violence is 100x lower. same with murder shitskin...8888998
>>38171534
This. We are already losing now. Fuck the future. Things will only get worst.
>>38171978
Yer but yakuza got btfo in the man in the high castle
>>38171497
Still waiting for flying cars.
>>38171497
>it feels like the most advanced tech I had seen
We haven't seen shit anyway.
Consumer tech has always been 2-3 generations behind military/alphabet orgs and the companies doing the R&D.
>>38171529
>brainwashed weeb shitter detected
I was thinking the same thing yesterday OP.
Shit is really getting cyberpunk now, and it's probably going to get even crazier
>>38172820
>uneducated moron who laughs like a fool instead of investigating the claims
hes right you idiot
>>38171497
I want to volunteer to be space fodder for the Space Corps.

The crime in Tokyo is literally a drop in the fucking bucket compared to any other major city in the world. Doing drugs is really rare in Japan, and it turns out that violent crime is way less common in cities when you don't import a ton of shitskins to your country.
>>38172865
He's not wrong, but that sure as hell doesn't mean he's not a brainwashed weeb shitter
>>38171559
>putting money into orbital nuke
Anon the space corp is just to protect our orbital interests. Their going to be glorified satellite jockeys for now that keep gps and comms up. Also if we protect these things we will need national or very vetted sources for rocketry(space corpsmen probably won't be using the soyuz), meaning it should actually help us get off this rock sooner.
The US would suck being cyberpunk. Too many niggers and spics
Everyone is forgetting that modern cities don't even make up a hundredth of a percent of the area of the planet. Sure, shit is getting futuristic, but the cyberpunk atmosphere ends abruptly when you get a few km away from city limits.
Most of the population of the Earth has probably never been in a building taller than 3 storeys.
Some parts of papua new guinea haven't even been mapped yet.
The planet at large has remained overwhelmingly unchanged.
Just to put things in perspective.
Our super advanced space rockets are a fart in the wind compared to the sheer size of the planet (well, nukes are an exception)
>>38172055
Plenty of salarymen are on shabu at any given time.
>>38173307
True, but most of the world is rapidly urbanizing as well.
>>38171529
>cities are shit and are full of violent non-whites, gangs guns, murders and drugs
Have you ever read a single cyberpunk book? This is a major theme. Half of the city is always a third world warzone and the other half is big brother government and private police defending corporate conglomerate enclaves and ultra rich neighborhoods.
>>38171497
I don't know where you live but almost none of this applies to my country
>>38171497
well it's 2017, the year a lot of "hard" sci-fi scenarios were set in.

Now we just need more neon and some cyborg-tier technology/medicine
>everything turns cyberpunk around 2050
>you're already an old fuck
>spend life savings to transplant your brain into an artificial chad-tier body
>now you're poor as shit
>end up becoming another criminal in some dystopian city
>your life literally turns into an action movie with neo-noir elements
Or alternatively
>spend life savings on qt grill body instead
>marry a billionaire with chad body
>live forever as a qt grill with almost infinite money
I can't fucking wait
