100 years ago people used to live their lives now people live through Computers and televisions , let that sink itn
>>
Like a third of those kids would have died before adulthood though
>>

100 years ago I'd be dead where I live. Yeah thanks gimme my computer back.
>>
>>38158309
Also, if it's an orphanage, like it looks, they probably got beaten and raped a ton.
>>
>>38158309
That is a meme though, at least in australia people 100 years ago lived long healthy lives
Youre thinking of medieval times
>>
>>38158363
I live in France m8, 1917 wasn't a good year for us
>>
mm,,yea rly make me think.

People lived almost as long but dying in childhood was much much more common. Try reading biographies of famous 19th century people (mainly the poorer ones), almost all of them lost a sibling or two. Being poor back then was a lot worse too, you couldn't get by eating instant ramen and only having 25/5 internet.
>>
>>38158434
of course he wouldnt.
>>
>>38158287
It really is strange. Imagine being unable to escape into your headphones/phone/computer. Pure hell for introverts.
>>
>>38158434
Swap a mentally ill life on a computer for a somewhat normal life 100 years ago, yes of course i would swap
>>
>>38158328
>implying that wouldn't be better

I would've been dead at age 10 without modern medicine. Instead I've had 15 years of suffering and false hope to cope with.
>>
>>38158500
ever wonder why youre an introvert
>>
>>38158500
It wouldn't be hell because the introvert meme is massively inflamed by current societal conditions

You'd be more worried about going hungry or getting some ridiculous disease than not being able to see the newest shitty NGE film
>>
>>38158530
Because autism. That wouldn't have changed 100 years ago, this isn't a cute personality trait, it's a neurological disorder.
>>
>>38158585
Mild autism wont stop someone from becoming a happy functional member of society if theyre raised to be its just theyre more like to get glued to computers and become social retards, i know a guy who has diagnosed autism and hes odd but hes outspoken happy people love him and he has a girlfriend, sorry but autism isnt the problem its made out to be its being raised by a tv and computer

"Let that sink in? Hell, I lived it! My daddy had a handshake strong enough to crush a rampaging bull."
>>
>>38158500
It wouldn't be hell because you wouldn't need to escape at least way less than in today's society.
Even back in the 90s there were way less "robots" than today. Well in fact no, there were as much autists and robots, but they'd hang out with each other and do stuff together.
Nowadays there's no point in doing this anymore when you can sit in front of your computer all day long.

Internet and computers didn't help social autists to escape. It created the need to escape.

>>

Hopefully there are literally no nignogs and mudslimes in my town (I live in Biarritz), and people are cool. So yeah better times.
>>
>>38158309
i envy them

pappardelle
>>
>>38158802
yeah, because in 1917 literally every french person was under attack by germans and disease.
>>
>>38158287
robots have always been robots, or at least since the industrial revolution
read Dostoevsky, Celine, Gontcharov, Hamsun
>>
>>38158650
>autism isnt the problem its made out to be
t. neurotypical
>>
"the world was a living hell in the past" is a fucking meme made up by schools to make us appreciate and not question modern day society. literal brainwashing. fundamentally the world a 100 years ago wasn't that much different from today
>>
technology is bad edison is the devil >:(
>>
>>38158891
my great grandparents didn't seem to care about computers or modern technology their house always looked straight out of the 30s and they seemed happy
