Why would anyone call a suicide hotline if they're suicidal?

nah, most suicidal people don't want to die, they are just spiraling in their mental shit, suffering, and can't think of another way to stop it. As a last resort they often call a hotline.

personally id like to fall over dead but yeah im not gonna take evasive action and risk being a vegetable but i know exactly what they would say before even calling them
