All because someone has social anxiety it doesn't mean they never try to overcome it or never get into circumstances where they have to be sociable. Sounds like you had a shit therapist. Ever gone through CBT? That shit is like emotional boot camp but it gave me a lot of coping skills that enabled me to be a somewhat productive person. As a former patient with social anxiety, I think this is a good thing. The disorder itself comes out of people's own incompetence at living, and if it's classified as something majorly concerning, this gives people sense of victimhood, and they never recover like I did.
Normies should use the term for every time they feel nervous, like before job interviews they land or asking out Stacy etc.
The more they use it, less seriously society will treat it, thus removing the victim status incompetent shitheads like I used to be get, when they fail at life and due to victimhood never try to recover.
