>America literally has a meme president

What the fuck is this? This shit is unacceptable. Trump just posted a video on his twitter where he's beating up CNN. I cannot believe this man is actually fucking PRESIDENT of the country. This shit is so embarrassing and uncalled for. I can't believe it. And all his dumbfuck supporters will just think it's funny.

This shit is hilarious. Stop being so asshurt. Would you rather that a president act "presidential" and fuck you over financially, sell out the country, and start a war with Russia? Or would you rather giggle at a memelord yanking the chain of a bunch of media charlatans?

OP is clearly baiting, but it is unironically embarrassing. /pol/fags are just psuedo nihilists who like seeing chaos as long as it doesn't adversely affect them. They're just reactionaries who think they're special, not realizing that literally the only reason he got elected is that Republicans are more likely to stay in line than democrats. All the memeing had close to no effect, it just seems like that due to exposure.

Everyone does need to chill out though. In three years the democrats will elect whatever bland piece of deli meat they push forward and the republicans will try and rid themselves of any memory of Trump and we'll all just look back on it as some weird time of political limbo.

I'm not him, but I can give a couple of reasons he sucks. He doesn't understand politics, has no understanding of how to craft policy, doesn't understand science, or climate change, is slashing basic environmental protection based regulations like the clean water and clean air act, can't name a single part of his own healthcare bill and goes on twitter rants over nonsensical bullshit. This man is supposed to be in charge of an Empire, anon.

It's not funny, it's fucking hilarious. It is the type of thing that seems outlandish for a comedy show at this point, but it's our real life. 50 years from now school children will have to learn about a president who was more preoccupied with shitposting on twitter than executive oversight. He is inept and I love every minute of it.

>>
>>38101492
He is a meme president because he's treating his presidency like an ironic joke.
Or do you think he's 100% serious when he wanted to drain the swamp of corrupt politicians by inviting his Wall Street cronies into the most influental positions of his cabinet? Or his more than frequent twitter rants about how he's smart and others are dumb, everyone not hailing him as God Emperor as fake news? Admittedly his followers are much dumber than he is. Trump won the election because nobody in their right mind thought that nearly half the population would actually vote for him. Republicans and Democrats helped him getting elected because they helplessly looked at the mud fight he created in every discussion and rally. He described Jeb Bush as a "complete mess" and maybe he is and Jeb was a retard to not jump onto that. Even Jeb could've destroyed Trump for saying something like that. Their whole job would've been to collectively push the mud back to Trump.

The right won because corporate influence in politics has been working to dismantle the educational infrastructure of America, as well as employing a consumer culture which is built to reinforce impulsive decision making and neglect critical thinking

The corporate interests then use filthy cash to buy out politicians (both left and right, but we're talking about the right in this moment), typically ones which parade around with the facade of being religious and devout

Their target audience are religious followers [people raised to ultimately worship and fear nebulous figures of authority larger than themselves] with poor education [meaning poor in quality, not just in cost], impulsive behavior, and a lack of critical thinking

His whole campaign was promising miracle after miracle
"Plan to beat ISIS in 30 days"
"Bring back coal industry"
"Build a wall across the Mexican border"

The result?

People who actually, literally, try to rationalize putting a person like Donal Trump into such a position of power
Because they are incapable of criticizing him, in the sense that they lack both the emotional [thanks to religion] and mental [thanks to shit education] capacity

Let's not even attack Trump's character
Let's go solely on unobjective experience required for the position
Of which, he has zero.

He's never once served a position in interest of the public or government
Never once served a government position at the level of town, city, county, region, or state
Never once been a mayor, governor, or senator
His experience and reputation in his own world of business, is also not that great, even going by numbers alone

"But there's no rule saying anybody can't be President! In fact that's what makes america a great democracy, ANYBODY can be president!"

Anybody can steer an airplane, but only an idiot would let anybody BUT a pilot do it. The analogies are endless.

And it will only get worse.
Corporate interests are playing surgeon with US laws as we speak

You are over-thinking it

Trump won because he actually said he would do something about immigration. most white americans won't admit it, but they don't want the US to turn more african or islamic. So they will vote for someone who actually says they will do something about it. It doesn't matter if Trump is stupid or immature, it's just so rare that a candidate actually wants to do something about immigration that they'll vote for him.

This is really why he won, people are scared of demographic change

Ya, I still can't believe the left was stupid enough to not get behind Bernie.

Like ya, I hear all these worries about the cost of free education and free healthcare, but that shit takes time and effort to even get partially implemented.
The house and senate would still have been republican controlled, so any of Bernie's policies would really just come out as a lite version of what he proposed.

The most important thing with Bernie, is he was unobjectively the most morally and ethically consistent candidate.

Always supported civil rights, whereas Hillary changed when the culture changed.
Always supported gay marriage, whereas Hillary changed when the culture changed.
Always supported imprisonment as rehabilitation, not like Hillary's support of 3-strikes which overfilled prisons.
Did not indulge in corporate sponsorship, whereas Hillary was literally giving anti-bank speeches and getting paid by Goldman Sachs for closed-door speeches in the same day.

Oh but, shit, the left is just as "devout" and poorly educated as the extreme right.
And since Bernie is an old "rich" white male politician, of course they are going to choose the female candidate because muh first female president.

Too bad Argentina already elected the world's first female president, in 1974.
America's self-inflated egos and self image will be their downfall.

My saying around election time was, "America will elect whichever president it deserves most"

And now, we have a talking head for a President.
>>
I mean it is funny as a video, but embarrassing on a few different levels.

This is a distraction tactic to pull attention away from issues that are hurting the Trump admin's public perception (Russia shit, the floundering healthcare bill, etc). It's embarrassing that everyone is falling for it.

Compounding that embarrassment is the embarrassment over the conduct of the president. I don't give a shit how he ran his campaign, if he ran it this way before. Running a country is different than running a business or being a political candidate. A good president starts representing the people in general when he takes on the office, and conducts himself in a manner which suggests he is representing us all.

The Trump admin is a shitshow. I am proud of not voting in this presidential contest, frankly.

No, Trump won because he was running against one of the most unpopular people in American politics who has been widely and openly hated for decades. Literally the only people who don't hate Hillary Clinton are older/super dedicated establishment Democrat shills. Young people don't like her, even many within the democratic party didn't like her.

Forecasts pointed to a republican victory even before the candidates were known, it wasn't about any specific policy or issue. It wasn't even about Trump himself.

Are you trying to weasel out of the reality that Trump is a shitty president? If anything Trump did anything but listening to his advisors before the presidency. Now that he realized it's not all fun and games he appears to be open to any suggestions from his advisers. This is why the lack of experience irks so many people, since he can't grasp the full consequences of his actions he's more dependant on his advisers, most of whom are dishonest corporation shills. Nice little explosion of right-wing trolls coming in.

Notice how skilled they are at diverting the topic from points of substance, into a tit-for-tat argument about...arguments?
They rely entirely on character defamation, because they can't argue or defend any other of the points being addressed
Not that these people aren't intelligent, they are just incredibly misguided

Let's see if any of you centipedes can tackle any of these points, without derailing yourselves
Attempt to logically justify each of these points:

-Electing somebody with no experience to a senior position; talk about the concept without addressing Donald either. I literally want you to attempt justifying any other example/analogy you can think of [like say, hiring a plumber to be a senior research engineer for boeing]. Defend the concept itself first, before applying people or politics.

-How dismantling social+civic services and departments [NOAA, EPA, Dept of Edu, FCC] improves the quality of living for American citizens ("MAGA"). Again, Trump and other politicians aside.
Tell me how if anybody were to do this, it improves the quality of living for Americans
Answer must directly address how a US citizen benefits from a civil service being dismantled

-Corrupt chronie politics. No doubt Hillary was corrupt as fuck, but, she is not the current commander-in-chief
Keep this strictly to the current commander-in-chief.
How do you justify the amount of despotism he has deliberately injected into Washington, explicitly in regards to his picks for department chairs?
The unobjective fact being, that each one does not possess suitable education or credentials to rightly be running their departments, and each receives campaign funding from corporate entities which are publicly opposed to these departments.
What is your argument for how Trump not only failed to "drain the swamp", but in fact has brought corporate corruption in DC to a historical peak?

Those are the 3 points of topic.
The floor is yours

Silly nonsense aside it's possible to funnel millions of people argument into a coherent singular argument instead of a million people shouting at you. When a party has no ideas it has to manipulate the process to stay in power. Who is going to vote for a political party that does absolutely nothing? The attempt at a political affiliation registry is a sign of this. Gerrymandering is going to be so much easier when they know exactly where Democrats and Republicans live. Again, the party of freedom and liberty and Alan Jackson is willingly handing over its principles and the future of this country just to piss off some college kids. Immigration is the most important issue. Trump would actually do something about it, unlike anyone else including Hillary. It doesn't matter how experienced or competent someone is if they just keep doing the same shit that will make things worse in the long run. Trump's immigration policies were enough justification to vote for him. As the rest of the world "laughs" at us, watch how in the coming decades, Germany, Sweden, Britian and France are going to be wishing their immigration policies were more Trumpian

Also, Bannon's goal of wanting to dismantle the administrative state is one of the most noble goals of any administration, the federal government is far too pervasive and powerful. Notice how states are taking things like healthcare and energy into their own hands because they don't trust Trump, that's exactly as it should be.

>Electing somebody with no experience to a senior position
First of all, if you are to be honest, then nobody except for Barrack Obama, the Bushes, Clinton, and Carter has experience in the field of being President. To say that other experience is acceptable, is to concede the point. If being a Senator, or a Governor, is acceptable in terms of experience (when their job duties have very little to do with being President) then you could very well make the argument that Trump has acceptable experience. What exactly makes being a Senator more relevant to the position than being a highly successful CEO? Second of all, you are assuming a priori, that "experience" is necessary to be President, you don't actually go on to argue why, and try to force people to accept your preconceived notions before they even engage in an argument with you. Another dishonest argumentative tactic. You make this error again below, and I suppose I will be forced to point it out.

Holy fuck shit you are autistic.

>"Plan to beat ISIS in 30 days"
Well for one he stopped giving weapons to ISIS thats good and they are working with Russia FOR THE MOST PART. Even though he was being a retard by bombing Syria for shit they didnt do.
>"Bring back coal industry"
Okay? Its been a year and I realistically if you are autistic enough to think that as soon as a man becomes the President its going to somehow magically draw the industry back in less then a year you are insane.
>"Build a wall across the Mexican border"
The wall will be built in time you need to follow whats going on at the moment with all the cuckservative shitheads in congress fucking around getting jack shit done.

What the fuck? How old are you 12? Corporations have been fucking over the US for many many years now not just because Trump got into office. The left and right do this shit stop being a biased shithead.

So you admit that you, indeed, are a leddit user? Man, go back to your stupid snowflake circlejerk, you know nothing about this place, you damn mindless golem. Coming here to post shit like this will do nothing to change minds except inflate your already galactic ego and let the few nonSJW people here get in on sucking each other off, all the while insulting anything and everything involved with this website.

By the way, you were the one going
>muh pepe

Gee whiz, no wonder the left lost, and continues to lose-- we couldn't let go of some damn frog that the right simply decided to associate with.

Yet when Obixnood made his "le EPIC summer playlist" all the normalfags wet themselves "OMFG OBAMA LIKES CHANCE DA RAPPA XDDDD." Similarly, he made that faggot video with the cookie where he made the "Thanks Obama" joke, yet all the leftards did the same thing they are now as the rightards said the same shit you're saying. Presidents do funny, goofy shit sometimes. Nixon, of all presidents, appeared on Laugh-In for fucks' sake.

No one will ever be logical enough for you, because you've already proved you're a cynical, stuck-up leddit user, only interested in stroking your own ego. Anytime someone DOES post a logical argument, you point out some irrelevant flaw, our outright dismiss it as "illogical." In essence, no one will convince you because you have put yourself onto an entirely different plane of "logic" wherein only things that indeed comply with leftist radicalism are considered "logical." Thus, you will never receive a logical response until you are willing to actually leave your circlejerk.

lel. It's pretty funny. While everyone loses their shit over his antics, Trump just pushes his agenda under their noses.

CNN's front page is plastered in responses to Trump's tweet, but anything about his most recent policies is hard or impossible to find without leaving the page.

This lets him accomplish things under the radar, while the media keeps falling for his cheap bait, instead of scrutinizing his moves.

If I agreed with more of his policies, I'd view this as a top-tier method of governing.

This is different in that the President is using his office to suggest violence against media outlets that give him unfavorable coverage. CNN is mostly garbage, to be sure, but if he has specific criticisms he should air them, not continue to sow the seeds of distrust of reporting while giving credibility to literal fake news in Alex Jones (who admits as much). Fuck CNN, but this isn't just pop culture fun. The man is trying to make facts something imaginary that don't actually exist. The man's either dumb or malicious.

You go on to use the aforementioned dishonest argumentative tactic again in the second part of your post. You call a bunch of government organizations "social + civic services" which is to imply that they are actually contributing something of value. You again assume a priori, this time that these organizations are inherently good. You don't actually make an argument in terms of what it is these organizations provide and why it is they are necessary or helpful, you just say that they are and that we must accept that to even have an argument with you, very dishonest.

In the third part of your post you go on to confuse the word despotism with nepotism illustrating just how little it is you know. That aside, again, you assume a priori that nepotism is inherently bad and don't actually make an argument as to why it is the particular choices Trump made are good or bad. You are as a precondition of having the argument, making us accept one of your beliefs. Again, dishonest. You then say that as an "unobjective fact" whatever that means, that the people Trump picked don't have the appropriate credentials to run a department. Of course you don't actually give any examples of this. Lastly, you claim that Trump has brought "corporate corruption" to a "historical peak" except you don't actually demonstrate this. More bias and unfounded claims.
>>38105181

Sorry for the late reply, but I believe I answered your question. You asked how to justify Trump, and I did. I explained that expertise really didn't matter because he was the only person willing to tackle the most important issue of the modern age, immigration. It really is that simple. If an experience, "respectable" politician isn't willing to do something about immigration, they are effectively worthless. Trump may be dumb but he is the first step toward having a sensible immigration policy again.

Since a lot of right-leaning posters seem offended by the nature of wording in this post, I will trim it down to an abridged version.

1. Defend the concept itself first, of electing somebody with no experience to a senior position, before applying people or politics.

2. Directly address how a US citizen benefits from a civil service [NOAA, EPA, Dept of Edu, FCC, ACA] being dismantled/destroyed.

3. Justification for how Trump has not only failed to "drain the swamp", but has invited more corrupt activity in DC.

And please no finger-pointing to elsewhere.
Keep all discussion strictly to the current administration, and persons that are actually elected/seated.

This is not a "left vs right" discussion
This is a "Defend your stance and candidate, solely by their own merits" discussion

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy summed it perfectly. The role of the president of the universe isn't to make any kind of decisions. >Americans pay so much in taxes to these agencies which are huge, ineffective bureaucracies (see the Gold King mine fiasco as an example).

Do you realise that those agencies do work? They don't just exist and do nothing. You don't just remove them and expect everything to be "just fine".

Also believe it or not all got created to solve a problem that couldn't be solved any other way. It's not like the federal government just decides to magic some department into existence.

You drink too much Republican cool-aid.

1. NOAA: keeps track of climate and weather events; it's not like hurricanes, tornadoes and forest fires where ever a problem anywhere in the US; it's not like any weather event ever caused billions in damages and displaced millions of people; like who needs people to keep an eye on that stuff right?

2. EPA: keeps you from getting constantly poisoned or intoxicated; that you solvent you bought or that new weed killer, the free market will make sure it's won't give you leukemia with prolonged use; I mean after you get leukaemia and get saved by your now free market health care you will stop using the product and sue the company; that will teach them!

3. Dept of Education: like who the fuck needs a department that monitors the standards of education! weird how every other country seems to have one, but I guess we could just let the free market take care of that; after 30 years olds start realising that they need to be literate they will get into a time machine and go back in time and go to a different charter school that actually adheres to some standards of literacy.

I don't have to go on, do I? All those departments are indispensability. Only a completely moron would think otherwise. There isn't a single developed country on the planet who doesn't have the same government departments.
>>

>Do you realise that those agencies do work?
I never said they need to be disbanded. I said the fat needs to be trimmed, because all government has done is grown. Much of the work they could be doing gets held up in said bureaucracy. Do you realize that with an increase in size, these agencies have grown in wastefulness and inefficiency?

Also you'd do much better if you didn't construct strawman arguments for each agency.

>all this mental gymnastics to avoid directly answering the question

Except that the people doing the hiring elect them to the position.

Elect
adjective
plural noun: elect
1. (of a person) chosen or singled out.
"one of the century's elect"

When you're ready to stop mincing words, here's the question to answer:

1. Defend the concept itself first, of electing somebody with no experience to a senior position, before applying people or politics.

Here, I will give you an example to work with.

A commercial airliner company is hiring for a pilot position, and has 3 resumes.

The first applicant has over 20 years flying commercial air liners.
The second applicant has under 10 years of flying personal/private prop planes.
The third applicant has zero years of flying experience, but has over 30 years experience with appliance sales at Sears.

You are the person doing the hiring.
You have chosen to hire the third candidate.
What is the rationale for this choice?

>>
>>38108283
It's mental gymnastics because no matter how much you want it to be, the situations aren't the same. A pilot's job is way more defined than a president's, and as such the requirements you have for a pilot are going to be much more stringent. If I'm hiring pilots, I want someone who won't crash the thing. If I'm "hiring" a president, I have a certain vision or set of policies for the country I want to see implemented. Sure experience helps, but if the other candidate is selling policies I'm not interested in, then I'll take the one with no experience.
This is why over 95% of Republicans held their nose and voted for Trump.
