What are your guys' take on this? Personally, I still can't figure out if he took it (no evidence), for what reason he did it, because the laptop's a piece of shit and doesn't even work. When we wrote the contract at his office, he has a much better setup.
My parents are thinking of just keep quiet and pray to god that he will finish up and leave, then change all the locks.

Sorry to hear anon, did you get back to their employer? The contractor in my case is independent, but I'd write a letter to their employer stating the facts and the people who might be involved. Then, I'd go to a police station and file a report.
