80s revivalism is a dumb, lazy cultural movement and it's a litmus test for a pedestrian that can't fabricate their own creativity.

Revivalism for the sake of revivalism is inherently dumb because the passage of time is ubiquitous (revivalism ages too), but specifically the 1980s is such a god awful decade that people can't even find contrived ways to act like they liked it.

Nobody likes the 80s. It was a time of cultural revolution that was basically just revolutionary for the sake of revolutionary and people were puritanical for the sake of being puritanical and they accomplished nothing by fighting eachother except standing in closed off areas racking up imaginary points.

The only artistic merit this decade had was being made fun of, and it's been done so much that people seem to have forgotten they weren't being serious.
