Where I live (UK), accountants make very decent money. Enough to drive a nice car, pay for a house and have money left to save and spend.

It's considered a pretty bland boring job but the pay is solid.

Here's the thing about accounting and actuarial jobs -
It's a low stress job that pays pretty well.

Is your work super exciting? No.

But you go into work at 9 and leave at 5, you leave your work at work, and you make good money.

Especially actuaries. They make upwards of 300k for a 9-5 job 40 hours per week job. My parents have a friend who is an actuary, his job is literally not a concern, he spends all his free time boating and shit (extremely stupid hobby imo)

Its more of sit in a conference room of some company using their laptop to access multiple financial reports and just auditing them with a group of fellow accoutants from the same firm.

Here in Russia accountants get slightly above median salary. Plus, they are the first who will get into jail if the company does some shady stuff like tax evasion or money laundering. Unless they are the ones who report it, of course.
