For any other recent grads looking for a job remember to do follow up calls 99% of the time you hear someone with a decent degree complaining about not getting any calls back it's because they send out a resume then sit on their ass waiting for calls back. Make a follow up call a day or two after you send in your stuff and your almost guaranteed an interview at the very least.

why would you even write that as a placeholder? do you take /r9k/ that seriously?
hopefully you do so you can be a NEET and live the good life

What do I say in this followup call?
Do I just ask about the status of my application?
>>38025959
>call ask for hiring manager or who ever is in charge of hiring
>hi this is anon I submitted an application/resume on day I'm just calling to make sure that it was received without any problems
>they'll go and check
>thanks and do you know when or if I might be hearing back for an interview
At worst they'll brush you off and just say when they get around to it, but a lot of times since you're showing initiative and they have your resume in front of them they'll start talking to you and if you don't spaghetti they'll move on to setting up a date for an interview or give you a time to call back to schedule one. Always do the follow up call though, unless you have extreme luck good positions don't hire people who don't take initiative to communicate.

Thanks anon. I'll do it next time I apply somewhere
