I just got a job offer after being head hunted by Norway's largest bank. I'll be joining their development team and earn ~29 bucks an hour, and I still have a year left of my bachelor.
If I can make it, so can you. See you on the other side, anon.

I studied political science and live in the usa.
I'm doomed.
>29 bucks an hour
>"I made it bros"
that's pathetic anon
what can I do to be noticed by head hunters? all I can think of is getting a degree in something useful?

60k a year starting out of college isnt bad man. It's not a huge amount but it's definitely enough for one person. I'd call that making it
>>38022818
Post your bank statement for last month pussy
>>38022692
you're posting this because you want to get verified and feel superior which is pretty pathetic because it's bunch of neckbearded anime pillowhuggers you are competing against.
well, congrats. i guess.

I hate to admit it, but after getting a Master in computer science, I get ~13 bucks per hour as software engineer.
I'd rather migrate to Norway.

What I did was basically:
1. Have good grades. They're looking for good heads, after all.
2. Go to business events. If your college doesn't have any of those, ask if they can invite businesses once in a while.
3. Ask if they are looking to hire students.
4. Contact them if they do.
Essentially, head hunting is more about you showing your head than them finding it.

Italy.
a typical wage for a decent software engineer:
~1700 euros/month
13 months (12 + end-of-year bonus)
221 workdays/year of 8 hours each
that is, 1768 hours = ~22100 euros/year = 25150 dollars (eww, yes, 25k/year, wtf)
That is ~14.22$ per hour.

Fucking rich kids always rubbing their shit on your face.
>Essentially, head hunting is more about you showing your head than them finding it.
Essentially, the exact opposite of what head hunting is.
>>38023266
life is full of misnomers contradictions and lies.
>>38022692
>head hunted
Fuck off OP
>>38023266
you have to be really experienced and talented to get cold called by head hunters , we are talking about decades in a specific field and skillset.
>>38022898
>I work in a over-saturated field
>I'm doomed
>>38022692
>I make 20 cents on the hour
w-we're all gonna make it
>>38022692
You got lucky. I'm sorry for being so harsh but that's really all there is to it. But if you prefer otherwise, you can perhaps try and delude yourself that you achieved a modicum of success due to your "accomplishments".
