My jock cousins who never finished college until their late 20s, yet always had well-paying jobs provided by my uncle, love to do it on weekends.

They make long facebook posts about it. I've done it a few times when they took me out to the bar and done better than their spreads, simply because I can crush numbers lol.

I make shitty videos that nobody watches. I know it says they have some 30 views, but in reality it was me opening them up while I edited and stuff like that.

It's pretty fucking depressing to be honest. I've lost about 60 subs so far this month. Uploaded like 25 videos. Probably spent 100 hours recording them. Maybe 20-30 hours editing. I've been doing it for over ten years now and nothing has ever come of it. It's honestly just a really long 1000+ diary entry story of my failure of a life. I write scripts.
Mainly sketches (and an incredibly shitty TV show pilot which was a very helpful learning experience).
Currently writing a script for a short film and I'm at the climax but I can see the structure has got some major issues.
I'm still going to finish it and then try to fix it up in a later draft.
After I finish that, I've got another short film I want to write which I've got fully outlined. It's just the process of writing it into a script which is more tedious than hard because my outlines include most of the major dialogue because I write my outlines as a moment by moment thing complete with dialogue.
It makes it hell for anyone else to read the outlines but I understand it.
On top of that I spent yesterday doing an outline for yet another short film that I think really has potential and then there's all the other outlines and shit for other sketches that I still have in my backlog.
Basically, I've got a big backlog of things I want to write about and it just keeps on going.

I don't do anything with them other than sometimes post them on here but my dream is to perform them live on stage as part of a small sketch comedy troupe.
I'm currently waiting for this open source sketch show to release their new episode to find out if they used a submission I sent them for this episode or not. If they don't use it, I'll be a little disappointed but if they do use it, I'll probably cry a little because someone liked my writing enough to perform it.

I'm a handyman, I've plenty of tools for all kinda of diy, general fixing, wood cutting and firewood chopping. I've repaired and modified a lot of stuff, from Bass Guitars to PC cases, and I've built shit from wood, and chopped tons of firewood from old building sites.

I also recently got a 55lb compound bow which I'm practicing with, I want to be able to hunt for my own food, should I ever need to.

Read the Screenwriter's Bible. It will explain how to format scripts for film. It won't teach you how to write well (it will offer some useful tips though) but it will teach you how to format your shit in a way that reads well and conveys information effectively.
From then on, its a matter of viewing media to examine why they did or didn't work, reading tips, blogs and advice from successful scriptwriters to get more in-depth knowledge about what they did and writing as much as you can to push through that initial period where everything you write is bad or derivative.
It's a lot of fun.
