It's not a bad thing to fake confidence I think to some extent 'faking' it and having actual confidence in yourself are indistinguishable. On the other hand though you should find a way to feel better about who you are so you can develop some kind of real worthwhile personality. You'll be able to actually enjoy having a girlfriend more that way I'd think.
