Heres some unironic tips from guy who failed his
>if in doubt, play it safe, until the point that if you were to change speed/direction it would block other drivers then i dunno
>check your fucko g blind spot
>your instructor will ask you to pull over to the side of the road for whatever reason multiple times. ALWAYS chexk your middle mirror and indicate if neccessary, its a stupid fail but catches people out
>always observe everywhere it makes sense

remember my first driving test (i failed by the way)

I just got my permit and started learning. Nothing makes you feel more NEET than being probably the only person at uni who doesn't have a license yet.

Also can someone give me tips on how to control the car smoothly. Every time I try to brake or accelerate it's too jerky. Does the pedal control the car's velocity or acceleration (that is, will keeping the pedal at a constant angle result in the car staying at the same speed or accelerating).

Same angle = Same speed

You'll learn how to be more smooth with pedals the more you do it. It's ezpz. You'll even begin to learn speeds so you won't have to keep looking down at the speedo, you'll just know how fast a certain speed feels

I feel the need to not even take the test for the damn thing if I'm already a ghost in the crowd

I failed my first one because I was going 31mph in a 30 and just driving like a normal person. There were cars parked on the side of the street and the instructor started yelling to pull the car over.
Second time I took the test I took it real slow and acted like I was 80years old with my driving. They can always tell you to speed up a little but will yell if you have to slow down.
