i feel like im starting to suffer from depersonalization. like my mind is disassociating from reality. lately ive been HIGHLY doubting the sentience of other people, including my parentswhom i havent spoke to in years, and even my 1 semi-close friend. i cannot believe they are real people and i cannot believe they have actual independent thoughts
honestly ive been questioning my own sentience and existence, and feel as though my life is a walking dream and im just experiencing it
i saw a twitch outside-in-real-life livestream in a bar/clubbing/popular social district and i couldnt believe it was real. like literally my mind couldnt accept it. my mind cannot wrap around the idea that people enjoy going outside and socializing
i feel as if the outside normie world is some weird dream. i think this picture taken from grim fandango accurately describes it. like they are weird neurotypical npc's who are just themselves and are confident but are just part of my imagination
whenever im outside this song plays over and over in my head. it originates from a old pc game in a area where you plug your brain into a matrix and walk around in this weird virtual reality. the music creeps me out and is so scary. this is what i'd imagine the tune would be to the "you're here forever" mr skeleton ride.
the song is called "Linc" and plays between 29:37 and 31:44. i couldnt find a better version that the one on this video. you have to skip to the song, this is the most perfect version of the song available.

That's actually not far from scientific understanding of consciousness anyway. I don't really see why it has to be a problem.

Discourse on the method/Meditations on first. He goes into the idea that the entire world outside of his mind is non existent. Knowing that someone came up with that idea even before computers was comforting imo. Both of them are short too.

It's not like solipsism, etc. are recent ideas.
