Grand Theft Auto: Hawaii

It could be pretty good. It'd be cool if there were a chain of islands you could fly around to that resembles Hawaii. There's beautiful scenery, a large military presence here, lots of tourists, Asian and Pacific Islander immigrants, lots of homeless people. There's some very rough and poor neighborhoods and then there's the billionaire businessmen who own whole islands. These things could all be incorporated into the story somehow. I think it'd be neat

I mean if you remove any realism of how shitty the traffic is how and forever under construction roads and everything are, it's a sweet city.

It's a 375 year-old city that is modern and vibrant, on an island with a hill that overlooks everything. It's got Chinatown and ghettoes and wealthy suburbs and hipster areas and everything else.

It also has its share of ties to crime just by default of where it's located. You have groups like the Hell's Angels and the Mafia and Triads that operate here.

It would be interesting as well to have the indian reservation that is just off the island literally across the bridge from the city.

Actually the fictional Abstergo building from Assassins' Creed IV was based in Montreal, you could see an inspired rooftop view of the city in it.

No. GTA is based on American culture. Having another location other than the US would be boring and generic. That is why GTA Vice City was set in the 80s in Miami beicause it was the mainstream icon setting at the time. Same goes for GTA San Andreas due how West coast rap music was dominating the scene in the early 90s and Los Angeles was used a lot in hood movie which San Andreas was based on. That also explains why we don't see cities such as Houston, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Detroit etc. have their own GTA games because they dont ave a major influence in mainstream culture compared to the cities GTA games are based on.
