Atleast you'll be doing it on purpose. I left my dog out in the cold winter and carried it inside and it died a few minutes later. It wasn't all bad though since it was dying of cancer.

what was more painful for me was watching her suffer. she had kidney stones and legitimately in 2 weeks she went from healthy and peeing only a little bit of blood to shaking with pain, barely able to eat, drink, take a piss or shit. I was more bent out of shape than I showed, even writing this brings back unpleasant memories of staying downstairs with her to keep her company so she didn't feel alone and in pain. The day we put her down was relieving imo, she was calm the whole ride there, like she knew what we were going to do.

They just stick them with a needle to make them sleep, it takes like 10 seconds, then they let you say your final goodbyes and stick them with the second needle. It's pretty peaceful, I wish I could go like that.

Yeah, My dog was yelping a lot because he was in her cage and I just wanted to play Dota so I threw the cage into the lake by my house with him in it.

Saying it will be ok isn't right. It won't. It will be different. Dogs have accelerated life spans compared to humans, so living through your pet's death is inevitable. Just remember that you are the whole world to her. You gave her an amazing life full of love and happiness and she wouldn't trade that for anything. That's really sad robro, my last dog that had to be put down was Toby, he died the day before Skyward Sword came out, which I had been really excited for. He had a tumor in his mouth that 'exploded' so we had to put him down right after that. I think I still got to see him before he died but I can't really remember, I was 14~ when that happened (20 now). My neighbour and my mom took him to the vet. I had just started playing WoW a month or so before and my main was ( and still is) a hunter so I ended up naming my main pet, a bear, Toby after him. My current dog, who I have know for most of my life and I have a much better relationship with then Toby, is getting up there now and it's really sad. She keeps having medical problems, nothing too serious but its getting expensive and she probably only has another few years. I walk her every day now though so I can spend time with her before she dies.
