Hypnotherapy and ssris. They worked for me with a very similar issue

It was mainly anxiety induced. I'm now ok

when i was in hs i had a 3 month period where i coulnt even walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor but it randomly went away one day. still generally afraid of heights esp if you've ever been on the top of a parking garbage before with all that wind blowing

You arent depressed enough. Get more depresswd. I swear it cured all fears for me: height, dark nights alone in house, problem falling to sleep, all is gone. Now I dont feel anything.
