I was in the same situation today. Exam in a foreign language about a bunch of definitions, terms and concepts. Studied as much as i could and yet felt like i didn't get shit, asked myself for the definitions and couldn't answer
Then i went to do the exam and everything just flowed naturally and got a perfect score.
