>high school choir directors with an inflated sense of how important their choir is
Carnegie Hall is rental space, you moron. You aren't there because you're good, you're there because you gave them a ton of my tax money.
I hate choir fags so much,
I was in band but the choir director was so fucking full of himself.

I'm unlucky enough to live in a "music town", and the high school choir director here thinks they're the hottest shit. They're okay. They're really good when they're singing actual choir music, but he thinks he's really cool by doing different themes, and arranging shitty pop songs for the choir. They feel really boring and empty.

>was in my high school choir
>director took it far too seriously considering how shit we were
>have concert one night
>we walk out on stage
>apparently we somehow arranged ourselves slightly wrong despite her putting us in that order before the show
>makes us march back off stage and come back on
>tells the audience we'll do it until we get it right and that she won't let us ruin "her" show
>the next day a bunch of parents called the school to complain about her
Too many high school directors forget it's about the kids not them

The sad thing is that I can see this happening.

Yeah they should stick to the classical repertoire. Arranging pop songs for choir seems kind of dumb.
