I think transitioning is a last resort for most people who are basically at rock bottom already. For some that's enough to get them by, for others not. I imagine the suicide rate would be a lot lower if transition was perfectly able to make you the opposite sex.

I'm planning to have surgery to get a cock when I can afford it. There are a couple different options and I'm not totally decided on which one I want yet.
I sometimes use a strap on for sex or masturbation, but otherwise I don't bother with prosthetics. Some trans guys 'pack' with a fake penis for daily wear, but that seems a little ridiculous to me.

Think about how you see your future. Would you rather live as a man or a woman? If you can't say definitively that you'd rather be a man, then you probably aren't trans.
