How are people supposed to eat when they have 12 hour work shifts? I just started a new job and was told I get 15/30/15 for my breaks and lunch.

>force feed after waking up
>no time to grab lunch at lunch spots near work
>exhausted and need sleep after work so I don't eat

IT MAKES NO SENSE
>>

have you tried packing a lunch, anon?

what are your hours specifically, by the way? and what kind of job is this?
>>
>>37850512
8am-8pm

>tried packing a lunch
Well no really because I can't cook and if I did it would taste like absolute poop. I suppose I could buy pre-made lunches from the grocery store but still I'm the kind of person who takes time with his food.

Can't shove it down all at once, and if I do I just gag and get an upset stomach. It's a Call Center job

Pack a lunch, whiner. It will save you a ton of money as well. You can bring some very simply food like granola bars, lunchmeat sandwiches, etc. Eat at your desk or car.

I'm just saying dude, you can't even enjoy a meal working 12 hour shifts monday to saturday. You can't enjoy anything.
>>
>>37851559
You chose to do the job, stop whining about the consequences
>>
>>37851559
uhh mate. if you're working 12 hours then you have another 12 outwith. You sleep 8 hours (well, 7.5), get ready for 1, are you travelling 1.5 hours each way every day? If so, then enjoy your lunch/meal at those times.

t. someone who would regularly work 14 hour shifts, 2 hours commute each way

>You chose to do the job
Except it's the only job in my city I can work at that will give me enough hours to survive.

>>37851619
Sure, but when do you get to do the things you want?
>>
>>37851619

What a fucking great life
>>
>>37850486
How many days a week do you get off?
>>
>>37851693
I get Sunday off
>>
>>37850580
>It's a Call Center job
Why are you complaining? That's the easiest fucking thing you can do
>>
I get a 30 min lunch break that I can take when ever I want. I usually take it half way through my shift. Can't really do much with 30 mins, I usually just go buy a gatorade and a snack.
>>
>>37851708
That's fucking it? M8 it's not worth it unless they give you 2 days off at the very least, 12x6=72 fucking hour weeks M8, too much.
>>
>>37850580
>Well no really because I can't cook
Have you heard of a fucking sandwich

I know it's too much but believe me when I say this is the only job in my area I can actually live off. That's no exaggeration, this is the ONLY full time job.
>>
>>37851559
I admit that's a long shift and 12 hours per day 6 days a week is insane. If you were in the USA you'd be making a lot of overtime.

With a job like that you shouldn't expect to enjoy a meal and are better off just bringing something to get you through the day. Use the money saved by packing lunch to get more enjoyable meals after work or on days off.

You've got to move somewhere else.
>>
>>37851960
I know I do but I'm financially stuck here. I fucking hate my parents for birthing me in such a shithole.
If I ever had kids my priority would be to move somewhere where they're going to have a chance living and working in.

Where do you live m9?

>>37852183
Not saying exactly where but it's always voted in the top 5 worst places to live in Canada on every list.
