No harm in trying, but just make it clear to him that you are bi-curious and not full-on confirmed gay. And yeah make sure he's not the clingy insecure type. Because if you try it and realize you can't even prison gay, or you somehow get a gf, you don't want to be stuck with someone who insists he can turn you (genuinely) gay. I don't think gay people are any more clingy than straight people, but there's a percentage of clingy people everywhere.
