I have white friends buried in the DFW military cemetery, could you look their families in the eyes and tell them how privileged they and their sons are? Lumping all ethnic groups into a single group and referring to them as "people of colour" seems incredibly racist and makes it seem as if white is the default or normal skin colour. This always seemed like it would be more demeaning than just referring to them by the colour of their skin or whatever. Also, this is only true if you live in the states and only true for specific things.

I don't really care. I'm a good person so I deserve all the good shit in my life. I just see minorities as self serving and bitter. Life is unfair but unfairness is relative. People in my position think it's unfair we have to work for a living for most of our lives while others are born into luxury, minorities think it's unfair they don't even have the opportunity to work the nice jobs people like me can get with our superior connections and education. You can either be bitter about not being born higher up on the totem pole or you can make the best of what you've got. My lot is to toil for somebody else's benefit for most of my life and convince myself it's all worth it in the long run, which really isn't that much different from the minority's situation. I just have nicer stuff than him to distract me from how shit my life is.

You are brainwashed by a combination of too much time on /pol/ and porn sites. BMWF is not that common. People overwhelmingly prefer to date within their own race according to pretty much all data that exists about such demographics. Media pushes it because the media is constantly trying to normalize shit like racial integration and gay acceptance and other shit, because they are on the progressive train and believe that society will just continue on this trend of being ever more inclusive to various types of people. So to prevent themselves from seeming bigoted in the future, they push the progressive agenda as far as they dare right now. Basically, they don't want the situation of people 50 years from now watching old TV shows or news clips and going "holy shit they were so racist/ablist/sexist/whateverist! Boycot!"

Because they know people will do that because in the 90s that's exactly what people did, they started going back and looking at media and news from the early 20th century and calling them on how bigoted they were and it hurt their public image. So now media errs on the side of progressivism. It's a trend that has held true for over a century at this point so they are smart to bet on it. Yes there are some outlets that have an agenda beyond protecting their image and pandering to the future, but most outlets are a business first and foremost.

my parents immigrated to this country. my dad is a carpenter and my mom cant even get out of bed most days because she has almost no stamina after cancer fucked multiple organs in her body. We have almost no expendable income after bills and food, so none of the economic "privilege" or white guilt that people are supposed to experience for something they never even did doesn't apply to me because not even my fucking ancestors owned slaves.Actually, most people in america in general didn't own slaves. somewhere between 1-5% of the entire population of the US owned slaves back then.

funnily enough, affirmative action is fucking me as someone who comes from a low income family because people get preference in certain fields BECAUSE they're a minority, when I've faced the same economic struggles they have. I agree that I didn't deal with a lot of the social shit, but that doesn't mean someone should be hired over me just to fill a quota. I don't have anything against the people competing with me for these jobs, but every person has their own experiences and have their own unique inputs and ideas to bring to the table.
