Honestly, if you live cheap you can have a comfy lifestyle on little money. I make 14/hour, still can afford my decent 1bdrm apartment (900/month), good internet, a current gaming pc and whatever games I feel like buying. If you move somewhere, try to get a job before you rent a place. Then you can rent somewhere where you can walk to work, saving you the need for a car.
