I get bouts of sleep paralysis that I can usually ride out into a lucid dream.

However, it's very hard not to try waking myself up. While I've long since stopped hallucinating while paralyzed, the feeling of not being able to move is still frightening. Normally I can come out of it by struggling to wiggle a finger, more and more, until the rest of my body comes to.

If I opt to ride it out, I'll hear a noise like a jet engine or approaching train - sometimes it's so loud it almost hurts.

About sixty percent of the time, I'll find myself in a lucid dream, albeit in an environment I didn't choose.

Unfortunately, I have a hard time maintaining control over the environment or staying asleep. Normally I'll start flying around or make a girl appear, and then, once I've started getting hard and jumping on top of her, I'll have a false awakening or find myself back in bed for real.

Sometimes I'll be able to go straight back into sleep paralysis and a dream, over and over again, but the episodic bouts are just that - episodic, and not an everyday occurrence.
