I've tried once.
It felt awesome and it was 10/10 to take a bath all shaven.

But after a while my skin revolted and got covered in red bubbles that took something like 2 months to go away (as hairs grew back.)

So. Ye do it, but learn how to because otherwise you'll fuck your skin up.
