Your parents gave you an intervention? I honestly don't get this struggle, it's pretty simple to solve. Get a job and an apartment, you can do this within like two weeks.

There you go now you don't have to deal with your parents anymore

I'd say self-improvement first, then secure a job. At least your parents have shown they care- they don't just pity you and then one day throw you out

>start reading or get some other hobby you can do outside
>once you feel better and less angsty, start applying for simple jobs, like a cashier
