Not sure how old you are but the earlier you try to find girls the more you will have to choose from. So start being serious about it now and know that the longer you wait the harder it will be.

I was a a video game addict and hated talking to people at one point. I kept my head down at school, had no friends and told myself that spending time playing video games or on the internet made me happy but I wasn't actually happy.

For me that was video games so I started going to an arcade that had a group of people that played a game I liked. I also went to comic book shops to play a tabletop game I liked. Both places I met girls. I noticed later that it had become easy to talk to girls because I treated them just like talking to guys or my family members. I think that is key - try to condition yourself to not see women as any different from your male friends.

Within a year of this I had a few girls ask me out and plenty of opportunities for me to ask girls out. There is a huge community of awkward, nerdy qt girls.
