Op here, I actually bought my traps at a pet store. Pretty ironic but some snake owners actually catch their own mice to feed to their pets so it makes sense I guess. They also sell the cage traps but those are more expensive and you're stuck dealing with a living shitter, so I opted for this instead.

OP here, we don't use poison anymore. Came back after a holiday once and the whole living room was buzzing with thick shiny flies. When we finally found the mouse carcass a maggot burst from it's eye. Also, i once scooped up a dying mouse that was to feeble to run away due to poison, but he bit my finger pretty hard. I let go of him but he actually held on to my finger with his teeth. I had do shake my hand to get him off but either that or the fact I accidentally flung him 5 meters broke its neck and killed it.
