Right click it in your steam library, and right click, go properties, local files, and verify the integrity of your game cache. That'll probably fix it!

I know there was some problem with one of the Nvidia drivers causing a problem with New Vegas, but I don't think it ever got an official fix. You should be able to find a fix on the Nexus though
