>last week
>20 situps
>sore for 3 or 4 days
>yesterday
>25 situps
>barely sore
Am I getting better? What is this sorcery?
You're getting stronger. When I started working out I couldn't do a single sit up, now I can basically do infinite if I want to. Good job, Anon.

soon op you'll be strong enough for:
100 push-ups
100 sit-ups
and walking like whatever the fuck idk what the gooks use for measurements.
>tfw literally can't perform a situp because my back is too deformed
Great job anon. I like to know others are trying to workout too.
The cool thing about bodyweight exercises is that you get used to them quickly. After conditioning yourself to them for a couple weeks doing them only twice or thrice per week you can then do them like six days a week without too much problems, and it feels fucking great. They're adaptable and if they get too easy you can just do more sets or more repetitions.
Maybe we should begin doing these threads more often. In the meanwhile, challenge yourself.

>tfw can do +150 situps in one session
>can't get to 50 pushups
Feels bad being an armlet.

I've been saying we should have some kind of group for recovering skeletons. Share weights and diets and stuff, try to motivate and keep track of each other, shit like that. Sort of the same idea.
You need to do a proper strength building program.

my lower back is arched too much, situps hurt but doing crunches with my knees up is fine
>>37750296
Feels like the kind of stuff it is justified using tripcodes for. We could even take pics of ourselves (censoring face if necessary) and judge each other's bodies and progress.
>group for recovering skeletons.
I'm not a skelly though. There are many different body types in r9k, each one has a different challenge.
I myself am somewhere in between skinnyfat and builtfat mode.

When you're not used to exercise you tend to get very sore after the first few sessions.
>>37749013
>jog for 10 mins
>tired as fuck and sore
>keep doing it every night after work
>can jog non stop for over 2 hours
I actually tried it on my day off just to see how long I could last and I did 3 hours 42 mins.

Am armlet. Got a pull up bar for the door frame it is amazing at building arm str from nothing. I couldn't do one fully 3 months ago now I can do sets of 4 to 5 multiple times a day.
5'11" 195 lb skinny fat
>>37750296
>>37750376
Well the group could be just about general fitness and seeing how everyone is progressing
>only exercise to feel the muscle soreness the day after
>Once my body adjusts I lose motivation
Let's do this. Rate and give me a nickname, brahs.
>>37750467
I am an armlet, but I can do more pull ups than that, I think. Sets of 10 reps aren't that hard if you have enough rest time between each.
Try it anon, I know you can! :3

>starting strength
5x5, starting strength and all related base building programs are a meme. Go to the gym. Go five days a week. Train body part splits. That's what it takes for someone with average or subpar genetics to look and feel good
>>37750636
>bro splits
It's inefficient and you don't get proper recovery time lifting 5 days a week. Engaging large amounts of muscle mass in compound lifts for 3x5 for the first 6 months of lifting three days a week with plenty of food and sleep is the best way to get the most from novice gains. Then you go do bro-splits and accessory exercises all you want as long as you do squats and deadlifts occasionally.
>>37750710
>he fell for the squat meme
enjoy your fucked up back
>>37750741
That's only if you do them wrong. If you do them in a way that the lower back muscles are exercised they actually fix your posture.
>>37750710
>bro splits
>implying training like a "bro" is bad
You can get a lot of size and strength using bad form, just by constantly pushing plateaus and getting reps.
