Too many people these days don't know how to apply their thinking. I see it all the time. There was just a case here about a taxi driver who got found with a half naked girl in his cab and someone said he must be guilty of rape because there is no other reason for a naked girl to be in his cab. Also she was passed out.
He actually couldn't even imagine a single alternative possibility. But I think it's a problem of motivation. hopefully people aren't actually that dumb.
