I'm in a similar situation. Had my hair long since I was like 8, that's been 15 years now. My hair hasn't grown in lenght in like 10 years and doesn't look so good. I always wear it tied up in a ponytail looking like a dork basically. My plan is to go cut it next tuesday as I have other business in the city.

Having this much hair is a powerful feeling. It's why I'm reluctant to cut it.

So post a picture. The problem with pictures is that you're able to stare at a human face without and consequences of staring. This concept isn't really built into our brain wiring so we get overly critical and weird when it comes to facial features in a picture as opposed to in person. You probably look fine but would look better without the long hair. 99% of guys imo look stupid with long hair.
