Because every interaction is a test. You constantly have to defend yourself from insults. Every single weakness that you show WILL be used against you. Somehow. Somewhere. Guys constantly test your masculinity. If you don't tease or make fun of SOMETHING, there's something wrong with you. You don't fit in. People see it as a weakness. And they attempt to use it. And if you do in fact defend yourself, call them out on it, they get annoyed or angry. Like you're supposed to be their punching bag. I've heard it all. "You're not supposed to take it personally, grow up" "Its just ball busting, relax bro" "Not all people are like that, just find new friends". Every single argument you can think of, is avoiding the main issue. No, its not just exceptions, ALL social groups eventually fall into this eventually. Everywhere. Its an animalistic instinct to show aggression, to make sure people around you respect you, so you don't get left behind. So that's why i have no friends. Because i don't want them. Because i've given up on society. I'd rather be alone than conform just to fit in. Any interaction with me, is purely business. An exchange. I'll only talk to you if you want something from me, or i want something from you.
