This. The whole 'best way to get over someone is to get under a new one' is fairly accurate minus the literally getting under them part. Developing new and possibly stronger feelings for someone else helps old feelings fade a bit faster and it sounds like that could've happened with him. I really have no idea what possessed you to tell him. People date new people while still having lingering feelings for someone else all the time but they don't go around telling them "hey, I still love so and so" unless they wanted to be hurtful or purposely break up cause they just weren't feeling it with them.

I don't think runescape is any different, honestly, it's just a different gameplay. Still very much an mmo. I never played it, myself, but a lot of my friends did when I was younger.

You can get to level 30, I think, on a free trial but I don't know much about that. The game doesn't really show its best side by then, either, as classes are a bit dull with only a handful of abilities and the story isn't that interesting until you get invested in the characters. For me that was about halfway through the first expansion's story.

Come plag ESO, it's pretty fun! Just gonna say right off the vat, the best way to really enjoy an mmo is playing with other people on voice chat. I do it pretty often because I have an active guild and it's pretty fun. The quests are better then other mmo's imo, I got the legit feels a couple times. The game does have a few bugs, mainly around the dungeon finder for queueing up to look for a random group to do dungeons with, but nothing too bad that can't be worked around. Pvp can be pretty epic with huge sieges of dozens of players on both sides. The look is pretty good as well but that's down to taste. I am also a huge lore freak and I really like the setting. I personally feel like they did a decent job in that regard and I'm so excited too see if we'll be able to finally, for the first time ever really, talk to Sotha Sil in the upcoming dlc, the clockwork city. (He's my fav god, really cool dude, basically a god tier NEET trying yo change the world from his basement by tuning his radiator).

Readng books in game is actually really fun. In eso i really recommend collecting reading as many books as possible and finishing the mages guild questline. That will give you the skill to re-read any book you've read before immediately. The books for crafting styles actually contain a story across all volumes. Really good.
