It's hard to get close friends. You have to not need them or else they'll sense that you do and know that you're a low value person. I hate to put it that way, but I'm under similar citcumstances.

Turning texting into a conversation rather than just a means of making plans or asking for a favor will not make a favorable impression. It shows that you are not busy and that you do not have many friends. You are projecting your own experiences and don't realize that the average normie has so many friends that he would literally have time for nothing but texting if he granted them all that privilege.

Always try to make the other person the last to respond.
If someone doesn't respond to an initial text, don't contact them until they've contacted you again.
Make other friends and have good goals so that you're progressing without them and desperation never rears its head.

I had a few people like this as online friends, but I don't think they were ever really my friends. They only ever messaged me to ask for something or complain/talk about what they wanted.

I've given up on ever making another friend. I'm aspie and can't relate to most people's feels or actions and vice versa. This is frustrating sometimes but I will manage.
