If you really want to supercharge things, don't buy a single family home, get a 4plex and rent the other three rooms. You'd practically be living for free at that point

Too bad banks won't give you a mortgage for a 4plex unless you're making at least six figures, also you'd have to save a lot to have enough for a deposit and if you don't manage to rent them out you're fucked.
