Why don't you get a doggo /r9k/?
>Cure for anxiety, depression and cripplingly loneliness
>Much cheaper than a human companion
>Adorable
>Eternally loyal
>Will always love you
>>
Because I already have a doggo.
>>
>>37640224
I'll be honest with you; I'm not really sure I can trust myself to own a dog. I just don't think I can.
>>
2 parts >>37640380 1 part im not allowed to have pets at this place. Renting is shit.

I'm poorfag and can't afford a doghouse and food for the pupper

Why can't you trust yourselves with dogs, anons?
>>
>>37640569
Westie here as well.

True robot dog
>>
>>37640224
My apartment doesn't allow doggos. Plus I'm a wagecuck so I'd feel bad leaving him trapped inside all day.
>>
I can't afford one and as >>37640380 said I feel like they're too big of a responsibility
>>
>>37640224
Because some people are unable to go outside and take the dog for a walk. Dogs preferably need some interaction with other dogs and people so they don't get scared and aggressive, which is also a thing a lot of people with depression and anxiety will be unable to do

There are some people who got better having pets, which is good for them. Just don't make it seem like dogs will fix your problems and that there's no chance you'll end up neglecting your dog due to your problems.
>>
>>37640224

that is a lie
this meme needs to die

Either way its a loss

Its like you want misery.

Hey anon. Breeds like labs and collies are easy to keep and keep them happy. Get a doggo
>>
Pick your fucking breed wisely.

My mom randomly got a chihuahua from a backyard breeder. The thing was born with a severe separation anxiety. Was given to us at, like, one month with no socialization. But it was probably fucked to begin with. People who saw it, never had seen such an anxious dog.

Anyway, needless to say, I was anxious and severely depressed myself. Couldn't take it for walks. It was always high energy. I couldn't keep it in a crate in my room. It would start screeching and yelping like I was killing it. I'd let it out. And it would start jumping on me, chewing on my toes/fingers, and just being a nuisance, while I was trying to fucking sleep, like at 2 am.

I tried to take it to the park, so it could see other people and exhaust its energy--and that actually helped a bit. But chihuahuas are so stupid and aggresive that they would run off and chase random people/bigger dogs. Being a lardass, I couldn't run after it at the time. So I stopped going to the park.

Thing did not work out. It was my first real dog. Had it for a year. Languished with the decision, but re-homed it on Craigslist. Went to some 16 year old girl, with maybe better patience. Good luck to her.

Get a low energy dog, or preferably a cat, or nothing at all, if you're a depressed fat robot. Just being real.
>>
>>37640808
>getting a chihuahua
>ever
>>
>>37640767
It's not really about responsibility. I don't want to go into too much detail but I just don't really think I can trust myself with a dog, especially a big one like a lab or a collie.
Maybe I could take care of a pug or a chihuahua, but otherwise, I dunno.
>>
>>37640890
Do not get a chihuahua. Refer to my story. Or a pug. Or any 'designer' small breed. They're almost all bad. Even labs/retrievers, like OP's pic, are a pain in the ass. When I visit a relative with them, they're constantly jumping on me with their immense amount of power, and then they proceed to drool all over my face/arms/clothes. Yuck. Fuck them.

Definitely, Westie best doggo. He's a bit of a stubborn little cunt but overall he's tons of fun and really cuddly.
>>
>>37640972
My mother had a chihuahua when I was very young and I only remember it being exceptionally well-behaved.
>>
>>37640224
did that a month ago, doesn't work. just makes me more stressed because i have deal with a puppy
>>
>>37641016
Well, that's your exception to the rule. Some dogs are born 'retarded' are just slightly animate stuffed animals, and then there was a chihuahua like mine, from hell. And then a spectrum. It's all roll of a dice, unfortunately. No way of knowing your doggo will be cool. You can increase your chances by going to a reputable dog breeder, and seeing how the parents behave. Inbred backyard breeders tend to produce the worst behaved dogs for that obvious reason.
>>
>>37640890
Hey. I have 3 shephards. Fuck do they shed a lot. But i love them. They love me. It keeps kms away.

Do not get a chiuahwa or pug. Or bulldog or shit breeds like that. Collies and cross of them are great for begineers. Labs will always love you but are clumsy and need a good leader.

>Labs will always love you but are clumsy and need a good leader.
absolutely this, labs are easy to try but you absolutely have to train them well otherwise you're left with a big, powerful dog that can be very naughty
>>
>>37641174
huskies are terrible dogs for a robot to own
>>
>>37640735
cute original doggo
>>
I always liked dogs and fantasized about getting one but the desire quickly subsides when I realize I'd have to pick up dog poop by hand every day. I don't know how people deal with that it's truly disgusting when you think about it. Dog owners in rural areas with lots of property have it the best.

>>37641117

Do dogs even have big dicks?
>>
>>37641291
>Good dogs
>Get them when they're puppies, some can be stubborn/stupid with training when older
>not size conscious, will lean on or try to sit on you/your lap
>excellent bodyshape for spooning when depressed
>large and leggy, hard to control if excited. Make sure they always know you are the boss
Would recommend if you have good previous dog-raising experience
>>
>>37641354
Oh, boy.
Danes have huge dicks, they knot, and they come for 15 minutes easily, just pumping you full of it, it's crazy.
Or so I've heard.

I really want a doberman as i always had dogs when growing up, but i now live in an appartment, i miss doggos...
>>
>>37641388
so...hypothetically, in a purely fictional and speculative situation...how exactly would one go about getting a great dane to mount him?

asking for a friend.
>>
>>37641686
I suppose you wait until he's in heat or whatever and get touchy-feely and then you bend over.
>>
>>37641700

thank you for answering my purely speculative question that does not relate to me in any way at all.
>>
>>37641753
My very pleasure anon. Have hypothetical fun and stay hypothetically safe. You might not be able to get him out of you for a while, with the knotting and stuff. Hypothetically.
>>
>>37641774
Will he hypothetically rip my friend's asshole open?
Because my friend does NOT want to have to go to the hospital for that.

Post results.

>>
I'd really want to get one but not unless I own an apartment. And I'm concerned because even if I'm a robot, I'm often gone from 12-14 hours which is a lot without going for a walk. I don't want it to suffer.

This one is sad, doggo was born with some type of chromosomal abnormalities and the vet said it'll never be like a normal doggo ever and it was born this way.... I may set up a patreon to take donations to research on this abnormality
