Fellow 5'7 manlet reporting in, 150lbs was my initial goal as well. Currently at 140lbs and still not satisfied. Probably gonna end up aiming for 130lbs so that I can begin my first clean bulk without worry.

Do you exercise at all? I just jog and I'm 5'7 at 150 and I look pretty good body wise (face not so much). If I got any lighter I'd probably start entering skelly mode

I started counting calories and limiting myself to under 1600. Which means a daily deficit of 200 so I'm actually eating 1400. I mainly eat oats, whole grain cereals and a lot of meat like chicken and beef plus veggies. I eat meat in large quantities because they are relatively low-calorie and very filling.

I also started high intensity interval cardio about 3-4 times a week for 4 months. Simply to shed off water weight and fat. Eventually I did lose weight, but in terms of body shape I simply looked like a smaller version of my fat self. Afterward I slowly transition to lifting to build muscle and to mould my body into shape.

I build muscle easily because of genetics, but I also have to increase my calorie intake (1800). I also utilized whey protein to help supplement any gaps in my diet.

Other than what I said, the main thing is discipline and consistency. So just pick something and stick to it. Being fat isn't a metabolic disorder, its a fucking mental disorder with poor discipline and a poor self control.

Limit yourself to just 1000, it's not that bad. Apple for breakfast, moderate lunch of PB&J on wheat with some pretzels and water, and to finish it off with an ok size portion dinner.
