>tfw starting college at 29 and all my peers will be 17-18
Will it even be possible to make friends?
>when the teenagers look upon you from a greater social height with pity and disgust
I'll be 24 lad, slightly know that feel
I can pass as 18 aesthetically but I'm worried I won't fit in whatsoever. The only upside is that we're equally naive and inexperienced when it comes to real life

The 25+ year olds in my in-major classes were always the smartest, the hardest workers, the most experienced, and the easiest to get along with and I secretly hated them for it. But they were really popular.
Intro to college 101? The class will be hell, everyone will be brats and you will feel like a fish in the middle of the day at the Sahara.
Calculus I? People might meme about intro STEM classes, but you'll notice a world of difference in how seriously people take the class - you'll make friends much more easily there.

No, you're going to be the old guy in your classes.
You might think you want these kids as friends, but you don't. You're at different points in your lives with nothing in common, and if you reveal how pathetic you really are, you will severely regret your time there. Just keep your head down and try to be the sage they think you are.
>24 in college
>studying engineering
>all the other students are just as autistic as me
Feels good, man

Just act more mature, be the cool guy that can get them beer and give them some advice. Don't panic, you'll be accepted as long as you're not a creep.
>>37610796
dont try to be friends with them you freak

this is accurate, the intro/gen ed stuff sucks but once you get into the more advanced or specialized classes it's smooth sailing, there are a lot of adults who go to college, it's not that big of a deal
>>37610796
You'll be popular because you're old enough to remember the 90's and other stuff they don't.
Believe me, I'm in uni at your age and the fact that I remember stuff like 9/11 blows their minds.

give it up. it's already too late. if you didn't have your life in order by the time you were 16 then there's o point.
