>took the pill literally 20 minutes ago
>tfw nervously waiting for it to kick in

I'm shaking like hell and that's surely because I'm so fucking nervous and anxious about the results. Anyone else here use ADHD medication?
>>
Concerta is crap, the worst of ADHD meds.

t. Stimulant user
>>
You probably won't feel anything, I have to take five ritalin to feel it.
>>
>>37597118
It's actually great, if you desolve it under your tounge and then chew it up and wash it down with a coffee, enjoy your nice cozy strong and lasting focus

It's been about 30 minutes now, still not feeling any more concentrated. Maybe it needs another 30 minutes. I'm still shaking from anxiety, not sure if it's masking the effects of the drug. I should do some reading later to see if the drug is doing anything.
My eyes/forehead feel kinda weird I guess.
>>
What the fuck, I just drank a big mug of tea and my mouth is dry as fuck. Dry mouth is apparently one of the side effects.
>>
>>37597225
Get your heart facing Abit, do some squats.

It'll take about an hour depending on your diet
>>
>>37597313
I've stopped shaking now, I don't know if it's the drug doing the calming. I hope this shit is working, I don't want to make another appointment to get prescription for something stronger. I'm feeling kinda "woozy" right now, but not in a bad dizzy way.
>>
>>37597370
Enjoy the best fap session if your life.

What dosage are you on
>>
>>37597398
27mg, doc said I could be taking larger dosages considering my height and weight, but we're starting with smaller amounts to see how it works. Meaning if this doesn't work, they're going to make it even larger dosage.
>>
>>37597439
Do NOT fall for th amphetameme, that shit will quickly make everything shit when ever your not on them.

Methylphenidate has downsides and it feels nice to occationally come off it, it's a much better drug in the long term treatment of adhd.
>>
>>37597490
Yeah I try to be very careful with this stuff, it's one of the reasons why I'm so anxious and worried over taking pills. I'm supposed to be taking this whole bottle pill by pill straight for 1 month, and then I get a new one which I'm supposed to take 5 times a week. I'm only planning to take it on school days though.
I did some push ups and squats, starting to feel pretty calm now.

It's been well over hour now. Feeling "calmly anxious". I feel blurry and clear at the same time, I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it. The lady at the drug store said that the first/two pills might not work properly because the body is fighting against it, so maybe it works better tomorrow.

There is not going to be "high" from concerta so I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to test if this really works. I should try doing some reading and programming later.
>>
>>37597850
What dose are you taking?
t. On Concerta 54mg since one year

It's probably kicking in now. Feeling really calm now. I even made an important call just now and didn't even need to gather courage. I can also feel being hungry but not really. I know lack of hunger is one of the side effects so I need to remember to eat regularly.
>>
>>37598166
27mg, took my first pill ever about 2 hours ago.
>>
>>37598175
Also drink a lot of water and avoid caffeine
>>
>>37598175
After a while the "kickin" feeling will get less noticeable, but the pill will still work but more in a background mode. If you don't "feel" it, it doesn't mean it isn't working
>>
>>37598175
>tfw fat

I should get some of these meds so I can stop stuffing my fat face.
>>
>>37598194
I only drank one cup of morning tea so it's probably causing the extra "stuttering" I'm feeling. I need to remember not to drink afternoon tea or cola.

>>37598249
You can do that without any meds. I lost about 30 kilos just by cutting candy from my daily diet and replacing it with fruit. You get that sweet sweet sugar, but you can't stuff your face full of it because you get full after 2 bananas.
>>
I've been taking dexamphetamine for about 5 years now.

I'm quite dependent on it at this point, and I would like to be able to stop taking it.
>>
>>37598275
I find that eating a little something in the afternoon helps with lessening the crash effects
>>
>>37598284
I, too, wish I could just pray the concentration issues away. I don't mind being a drug hazed zombie as long as I can keep my thoughts together and get work done.

The only thing that is upsetting me is that I can't drink alcohol spontaneously anymore. Not that I was a big drinker anyway, but I was always open for a beer or something. Now I have to schedule all my drinkings beforehand. Can't even eat those liquour filled chocolates anymore.

And those 5 hours have been spent looking for the right porn video for 4 hours and fapping for 1 hour
>>
>>37598379
I find your situation humorous Ha Ha
>>
>>37598402
I usually go to the library and spend those 5 hours violently sperging out reading muh books and notes. If I stay at home I usually fap or shitpost at light speed. this shit is very taxing but I can get 2 days of work done in those hours. my memory is increased quite a bit too so I remember stuff better.
>>37598406
I wish I was memeing
>>
>>37598500
Now that I'm a legal druggie I'm also planning to do some serious reading. I heard vidya should be more enjoyable as well because I don't need to exhaust myself anymore by trying to concentrate.
>>
Now that I'm on Concerta I can wake up at 10am and not crash 3 hours later. Also it makes me stop daydreaming which used to exhaust me.
>>
>>37598536
Cool. I woke up today 10 am, took the pill, and I don't feel tired like I usually do at this point of day. Still no side effects except I feel little "stiff" and my stomach is kinda aching, but nothing I can't handle.
I kinda wish I had taken these when I was a kid so that I could've had some success in school and get some good grades.

Better late than never I guess.
>>
>>37598572

even off my prescribed concerta i seem focused, but more hyper than usual.

t. person with ADHD, diagnosed and prescribed at an early age, it used to be a patch on my thigh but taking a pill is much better cause i worried about it falling off.
>>
>>37597035
Hey OP how is it going so far? Any updates? Did you fap?
>>
>>37600101
Haven't done any exciting today, but I definitely feel suspiciously sharp. I've been mostly browsing 4chan and playing GTA, but I definitely feel the change. I'm not tired at all even though I got only 6 hours of sleep before the pill.
My heart is beating faster than usually, but that's one of the common side effects. I'm going to do some reading later, that's the true test of concentration.
>>
About 7 hours since the pill. Still feeling energetic and focused. First time ever I have the energy to do something, but there is really nothing to do except vidya.
>>
Dno what's with it but 54mg concerta did nothing for me
>>
>>37597035
Concerta game me pleasureless orgasms and a cold nose

Also, I used all the mental focus the pills gave me to download and classify porn instead of improving my life

Enjoy
>>
>>37601066
>cold nose

Damn, I was just wondering why my nose felt so stuffy.
>>
>>37601014
why are you taking stimulants if you literally have nothing to do?
save that shit for times you will likely need it.
before tests or exams etc.
>>
>>37601270
I'm supposed to go by this month using concerta to see if it's doing anything to me. We chose summer for this because I don't have school during summer, so if the dosage/drug is wrong, we can try something else without messing up with my school success. So far it seems that concerta is doing everything the drug is supposed to do.
Doctors have acknowledged my issues and think I need drugs to succeed in school/work/etc. so there is going to be pills no matter what, and now it seems that concerta with this dosage was the right pick.

The prescription is for a full year, and then I can go and renew it as many times as needed.
>>
>>37601355
Where are you from btw?
orginalo
>>
>>37601380
Finland. I'm also getting a special ID from the mail that lets me buy concerta from drug stores.
>>
>>37601415
I was asking because here (France) the prescription is done for a year too by a psychiatrist or at an hospital
>>
>>37601426
It's probably the European standard or something.
>>
>>37601433
Yes, my annual prescription is expiring soon, I hope it will be renewed again because it really helps.
>>
>have "ADHD"
>had me on concerta
>made me a zombie but I could do work
>started smoking weed later on
>did the same thing as concerta without the zombie effect
>quit meds and just smoke weed
Weird though, whenever my friends smoke they just pass out. I get all energized and ready to get shit accomplished
>>
What the fuck, I just noticed that my speech is kinda slurred. Not much, nobody probably notices it, but I know this is not how I normally speak. It's probably passing, I'm not much of a talker anyway.
At least I'm not tripping over my own words like I usually do.
>>
>>37602045
It made my throat a bit sore at first
Maybe your jaw is a bit tense
>>
>>37597194
Or just snort it
>>
>>37602440
You can't snort a Concerta, it's way too waxy
>>
>>37602137
I asked my parents and they didn't notice. I probably just imagine it, I've been feeling pretty stiff through the whole day.
>>
>>37602504
Isn't there a coating on the pill that you can peel off to make it less so?
I swear I remember doing that at a mates house and snorting them.
>>
>>37602714
The best method is letting the outter coating dissolve under the tongue (it's immediate release), then when it's fully dissolved, you can cut the brown part (it's a sponge) and dismiss it, then cut the other extremity and slice the pill vertically to remove another coating that protects the pill. You are now left with immediate release methylphenidate. You can swallow it or let it dissolve under tongue. Making it into powder is too much work and there is still some wax in it.
>>
>>37597035
>Being this spergy and anxious about swallowing a pill

What the hell is wrong with you Anon, just swallow it and go on with your day. If you keep thinking about it you'll end up placebo-ing yourself.
>>
>>37602925
Can't help it. I also have asperger's syndrome on top of ADHD.
>>
>>37601426
did you get diagnosed as an adult? i'm in france too and i suspect that i might have adhd but from what i've read it can be pretty difficult to get diagnosed as an adult
>>
>>37603830
yes i was diagnosed last year (at 28)
my doctor suggested that I had it and oriented me to a specialist
>>
>>37597490

Wrong. Stimulants can be stopped at any time with minimal effects.
>>
>>37597035
Used to take Concerta, you're feeling it, I always felt like was on the edge of my seat, if I didn't have something to focus on I'd lose my fucking mind. Started taking it in 3rd grade, dropped it in 11th. It helped me but fuck still happy to be rid of it. I think I took the 2nd to highest dosage.
>>
>>37603830

I got a script at 20, never officially diagnosed but been getting meds for 2 years with no issue. Just talk to your GP or a psychiatrist and tell them why you think you need meds.

I think I'm slowly crashing back to normal state. I'm already feeling shivers.
>>
>>37605173
Crash can be a bit though at first (especially the first few days)
>>
>>37597035
I take 2 20mg a day works well for me
>>
>>37597035

Peel that bullshit time release coating off then crush it. You can snort it or eat it. Doesn't matter.
>>
Don't do concerta. It only gives you a headache and does nothing else. If your (((doctor))) prescribed it to you, change doctors.
>>
>>37605448
I didn't get any headaches and it really does seem to work. My thoughts have been much clearer throughout this day.
>>
>>37605448
The headache went away for me
It works great overall and methylphenidate is neuroprotective

It was a good ride. Tomorrow I will take another pill, hopefully the effects will be more clearer when I keep taking these. I really did feel this stuff clearing my mind and putting my thoughts in order. Good stuff.
>>
>>37606770
Do you feel more depressed?
>>
>>37606795
Not really, but I guess that's because there's still some of it in my system. But I do feel really hungry now.
>>
>>37606770
Take a few grams of licorice root during the comedown, it cures hypoglycemia (which usually occurs ten hours after I take a stimulant.)
>>
>>37604850
good luck doing that in france
