Thinking about signing up for the French Foreign Legion.
I feel I have nothing else to do with my life
They take almost anyone regardless of past and have relatively lax physical requirements in comparison to the US army.
Has anyone here been in the legion or know anything about it?

Stated requirements are different from the actual criterion for selection. They weed out from day 1.
The foreign legion is for former mill or for third worlders with no other options but combat

you should watch some documentaries about it and reconsider. there's one that follows recruits from the start to the end of training and another where it tells the story of a legionnaire who is about to retire or something. might be the same doc tho.
