How exactly does one 'change their personality' and what do you mean when you say that. Is it your outward persona or are you actually changing yourself.
Like, for instance, if I like dead baby jokes and that makes me unattractive to roasties, am I really improving my personality if I learn to not laugh at dead baby jokes around them despite genuinely finding them humorous or is it just learning how to be better at being fake?

there is two ways to do this. The right way and tha autistic way.
>The right way
You write down everything you don't like about your self personality wise and do the opposite of it.
>The autistic way
Find a tv show character you think is super cool and act like them.

You write down everything you don't like about your self personality wise and do the opposite of it.
This combined with developing the awareness to know when you're acting in the way you shouldn't
It's not that easy in the moment

I believe that people cannot change their personality. However, they can change their persona and act like a whole different person in public. The person's personality will remain the same.
For example, a natural jerk cannot change his/her personality to become a godforsaken saint. They could lie to him/herself all they want but the personality is already formed and it cannot be replaced.
You could try lying to yourself and attempting to become the new persona inside but your true personality will definitely resurface one day.
