Our super power is intelligence. Its so integral to our identity it changed our very biology and birthing habits just to accommodate having a big brain. We can also withstand damage and shock that other animals of our complexity simply instantly die from. Thirdly we have amazing stamina. We are the only predators that walks its prey to death. One of our most efficient hunting strategies was to just follow animals around until they died of fatigue. We also have thumbs but that is a minor convince because without the intelligence to properly use them as the useful tool they are they wouldn't do much on their own. Fight or flight reflexes are also a thing but exist in other animals as well. Ours is just more potent because of the three things I mentioned.

A person isn't going to magically regain thousands of years of suppressed survival instincts magically like that.
Primitive humans in tuned with nature on some levels, could communicate with animals, predict the weather, and even gain a sort of "spider sense" for telling when you were being hunted by something.
Someone just thrown in the middle of the woods isn't going to have any of that. Which is why they would need to be extensively trained to regain those lost instincts.

We've got big brains, two dextrous and capable hands, a flexible larynx that allows an impressive array of vocalizations, we have great vision and see in more colours than most mammals, we have shoulders that allow us full range of motion (ask a lion to throw something), our upright posture allows us to see farther, we're capable swimmers, climbers, jumpers, runners, speakers, singers, hunters, gatherers, herders, farmers, crafters, tool-users, learners, thinkers, inventors, and fucking astronauts.

There's a reasons that humans have successfully been responsible for more extinctions than any other species, and this was true when we were still in the Stone Age. Even before agriculture, we fought our way from a middling and fearful ape to the top of the fucking food chain in every major biome of the world. Fuck claws.
