I am female and I don't want to see female therapists. And it's not internalized misogyny because I'm starting to hate men more but women seem to be really mean like my mom is. It's a field saturated by women so the bar is set very low. You don't actually have to be good at it. Psychology is kind of a meme degree and the few men who go into it stay in psychology instead of wasting the education on bullshit therapy, counseling, or clinicial.

I went in psychology hoping to torture animals and play with brain scans. I had a bitch of a time finding research projects I actually gave a shit about and realized the money just isn't worth it. If you want to do real psychology you have to be a professor on the side and even then you won't make any money, 80-90k is a common salary. I decided to double down on the girl job meme and went into nursing instead of continuing psych to get my PhD. I already have a little saved up and plan to apply for anesthetist programs net year. I want to make closer to 180k so behavioral science is not for me. No teaching classes required for anesthesia either.
