Actually they're half right. I was a security professional for Allied Universal for a little while. It was good money. There's multiple post you can get assigned to, and they all come with their own benefits and caveats, as well with their own pay.
For awhile I had a weekend gig that was 11pm-7am at a hotel. The pay wasn't good, but I didn't have to interact with anyone I didn't want to, free drinks, and free hotel breakfast. Oh, I would talk on the phone or watch videos all night.
I got proof with a photo of me in my uniform if anyone wants proof.

The job is easy. A literal retard can do it, but most companies want outstanding resumes. aka prior military or police experience is preferred, (but definitely not necessary). The only cops and GI's that actually apply to those are complete fucks ups.

But I digress MAYBE you will get lucky and land the fabled meme security job where you don't have to do jack shit but those are hard to get. I wanted the morning shift at my location so fucking bad, but some fat ass asskisser pretty much sealed the deal because he was buddies with managers and he complained whenever they gave someone else "his" shift. So I was always stuck with worse shifts of the day.

My advice?
If you're a robot, try to get a housekeeping job at a Hotel someplace on the night shift.
You get free wifi, can actually listen to fucking music while you work, and human interaction is bearable.

And here at my company, the laziest fuckers are the best at kissing ass so they are always on good terms with our bosses and they are treated way better.
