Instrumentation & control technician
The worst part is finding out your classmates are making $40/hr while you can't even get an interview

Same except I got a bachelors in comp sci from my state school. No one would hire me and I hate pressure/being around people so I took a job as janitor at my state's capitol building. That was 2 years ago.
The weird part is I actually like the job. It's light exercise, I can work at my own pace and the benefits are fantastic. I'm still embarrassed when people ask me where I work though.

Keep ya head up and try different avenues until you find something in your field.
A lucrative and high paying job the doesn't require a college degree is mortgage loan officers...check you bank for jobs. Quite a few finance based jobs are available anybody.
Don't base your success off comparison to others or monetary/material gain

I would love to have a janitor position like that though they are hard as fuck to get.
One place i applied for basically told me to fuck off because the janitors they already had been working for them for twenty six years, and no plans on quitting any time soon.
I always thought only stupid people kept those jobs but since graduate comp sci it makes me feel like im not alone in my ursuit

It's only embarrassing if the job is the only thing people know you for.
