or the horrible multiple-stage interview process where they pile you in a room with 10 other people so you can feel bad about yourself.

i've applied to 20 jobs since iv'e been home. Went to an interview and got "we'll call you in 2 weeks" which is code for I didnt get the job.

Eh, I wouldn't be so sure.
"We'll let you know" is code for not getting the job. Saying 2 weeks specifically means you are one of their serious candidates. Of course, that can change when they interview others during those 2 weeks, but it's not the insta-flush you think it is.

I would be seriously pissed if someone ever did that to me, especially since about a week and a half ago I drove three hours for a 15 minute interview
